The ancient Chinese believed that there is a universal life energy called Qi (chi)
present in every living creature. This energy is said to circulate throughout
the body along specific pathways that are called meridians. As long as this energy
flows freely throughout the meridians, health is maintained, but once the
flow of energy is blocked, the system is disrupted and pain and illness occur.
Imagine rivers that flood and cause disasters or an electrical grid short-circuiting
that causes blackouts. Acupuncture works to “re-program” and restore normal
function by stimulating specific points along the meridians in order to free
up the Qi energy. |

Most insurance carriers are accepted for Acupuncture to treat pain related conditions.
Every policy is different so please check with your carrier for coverage
details. Major credit cards are accepted. Initial Visit: 90 minutes: Includes comprehensive in-take and treatment $83.00 Follow Up: 60 minute treatment $57.00 |
At your first visit, you will be asked questions regarding your past and present
health, the symptoms you are experiencing and your lifestyle. This interview, along
with observation of your tongue and palpatation of your radial pulses will
give the acupuncturist the information needed to diagnose your specific qi imbalances
and formulate a treatment plan. Next you will lie comfortably on a table while the acupuncturist inserts fine, sterile needles in specific acupoints along the meridians. Once the needles are in place, they will be retained for 20 to 30 minutes as they unblock and restore balance your qi. When qi is freely circulating, all levels of the body are properly nourished. This results in elimination of pain and restoration of balance and harmony allowing the body to heal itself Most patients find acupuncture to be extremely relaxing and often fall asleep during treament. |
