Class Name: Infrared Basics and Fundamentals Class Length: approx. 1 hour Class Synopsis: The class will consist of a discussion of what Infrared is, what wave lengths are, what light is and what light is made up of, as well as other basic terms and fundamental terms. Also, what the Electromagnetic Spectrum is as a whole. What the Electromagnetic Spectrum is made up of and how it applies to paranormal research. We will also discuss the different types of Infrared and how it is measured. Class Date: Saturday April 14, 2007 Class Time: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Location: Diamond Room Class Name: Advanced Infrared Techniques and Applications Class Length: approx. 1 hour Class Synopsis: Taking the material learned in the previous lecture and showing how it is applied to Night Vision Technology and Thermal Imaging. Also a breakdown of how Night Vision and Thermal Imaging devices work. Night Vision techniques are discussed from set up to alternative ways to "get a better picture". Dos and Don'ts of Night Vision as well as things to look for and avoid, like lens flare. Overall practical applications and techniques for night vision cameras and camcorders. The different types of Thermal Imaging and what to look for when purchasing a Thermal Imaging device will be discussed as well.
